The Mojave fringe-toed lizard (Uma scoparia) lives in California and
Arizona in sandy habitats, for which it is well adapted with closeable
nostrils, closeable ear holes, and overlapping jaws to keep out sand,
and of course fringed toes to better move over fine-grained surfaces.
This one was kind enough to pose for me in Kelso Dunes within Mojave
National Preserve in the spring of 2009.
This is an 8.5" x 5.5"
greeting card. It's lovingly printed in black and white by minimum wage
copy-shop employees onto FSC certified 20% recycled Ultra Bright White
cardstock from a high quality scan of my original art, then hand-folded
by me.
The card is blank inside, making it usable for any occasion, especially reptile-related events.
Includes an appropriately sized white envelope. |
